Considering that each twelve month period we go through the motion of exchanging gifts and words of good tidings to those we shared the year with....it is easy to get caught up on the fringes of the experience and forget the most important aspect of it all. In our lives today we must be mindful of our freedoms...as St. Augustine said..."Love and do what you will!"
Love must be the primary motive for all our doings....we must not shy away from its challenge on our selves....everyday must be another call to just love and let live....disengaging ourselves from its pretense and being authentic at all times.
I must say that this past year has been a very challenging one for me in the matters of the heart. I am called to live up to commitments made moons before and are challenged to my inner core. I dare say it is easy to duck out or sideline the important issues as they arise.....but life seem to always draw you back to roots providing not only the anchor but the means through which daily sustenance are emitted.
I have loss many friends in the process, in that journey, still the silver lining, the common thread of love always ring forth where it is not anticipated nor expected; the patience and presence is deeply appreciated and works it way upwards making life become more lively more live-able.
So as I start the journey of a new year, I wish no more for you and for me ALL the LOVE that you can possible get.....it is the source of life....that which makes earth a wonderful place to live. Be not one that frowns on love or become too cynical that life becomes a burden. Rather embrace it with all your might and let your heart be exposed as St. Augustine said.....do what you will!
Have a Great Year!
